when will my 98 neon(sohc) stop accelerating when im bored or in a bad mood driving down the express way?...the spedometer goes to 120 i think:-/ somone help me out

 

From what I've read the 2nd gen (se and sxt) stops at 122 (I haven't had it up quite that high). I would guess your first gen is somewhere in the same ballpark, probably around 120ish. Just don't get busted goin that fast.

 

My 98 just keeps goin and goin!!!! I dunno what iv had it up to, but i know that i have had 120 tacked a few times and still kept going.

 

I belive the limiter on a stock 1st gen is set at around 6500 or so.

 

My 98 cuts out at 120. My rev limiter is 6500. I am at about 58-5900 when it cuts out. An afx or Mopar computer will eliminate the speed limiter, and pick the rev up to I believe 7200.
