60 mm Throttle body
At Howell Auto, they are charging $299.99 for a 60mm Throttle body. Since my car is a 2000, they want to add 15 dollars to the price, so really it is $315. Is that too expensive? Do you know any better prices anywhere?
That's a rip off. You can go to the JY and pull one off of late model Jeeps that have the 4.0 and do a little porting and have the same thing for much less.
Why do they want to add $15 to the cost again? And personally, if you aren't planning on turbo you probably won't need the 60mm. I'd look at getting a 55mm instead.

The extra 15 is dumb though. I might get a turbo. I just like leaving my options opened. They probably just charge that much b/c not many people have throttle bodies. Modern Performance doesn't have them yet but they said they are working on it. Do you know any other places I can look where the TB is made for my car?
Other than Howell, Modern, and Lorenzo no. I don't. I wish I could remember Renz's website. I'll have to do some digging for you on that. I still think you'd be better off with a 60mm of of a 4.0 liter Jeep. And get a Dremel and port it out some. It's cheaper.
60's are really good for turbo.
I've currently got a 62MM throttle body for my Neon that will be going on the car once I get my turbo on.

Here is the thing about the 60mm throttle body, if you get it with the intentions of getting a turbo for it, but there is a chance you might not turbocharge it, then don't buy the 60mm. The reason being that if you don't turbocharge it you will be hurting your performance. How and why? Because you may be getting more air in, but you are killing your air flows velocity. Getting more air in will produce more peak power, but higher velocity gives you a faster and quicker winding motor. The 60mm throttle body will make your Neon a sluggish slow revving pig because you won't have enough velocity. If your going for maximum top end speed then the 60mm is great, but if you want to beat someone in the 1/4 mile or from light to light, then you want a 55mm.
what comes stock on the 03's? when and why should you change it, and what other performance increases or decreases will you notice thanks

Which would you get a throttle body from, Howell auto or Lorenzo's site? Maybe there is a price increase at Howell because of the 00 IAC Sensor adapter. It says this adaptor costs $15.00 extra on Lorenzo's website too. However, Howell has a 15 dollar increase, but it only says it by the year which is 2000. Ok, so I understand. Thanks for the website, now I did some research. All the TB's cost about 300, accept for the 55mm's for about 200. Most likely, I will go to Howell again. I just wanted to see if there is a cheaper price.
