I used to get around 280-300ish miles or so before the first gas light came on, but lately I've been filling up before I hit the gas light because the bastards around here like to jack up gas prices every tuesday. So since I notice this has been happening I fill up right before they jack it up every week. And if I don't fill up prior to hitting the gas light I always end up filling the car up on the day gas is the most expensive.[:@][:@] I will say this though, the first quarter of the tank seems to go farther than the rest, after the first quarter it seems to drop much faster. I suppose this could be due to the design of the tank though.

 

holy crap man! im having the SAMMMME problem! i also have an 03 SXT. i went to a school 95 miles away (210 round trip) and it used the whole damn tank! there is NO way thats normal at all! i should easily hit 28-30 MPG highway...we figured it out at a 12 gallon tank, i got 18 miles to the gallon around. and that was ALLLLL highway! listen to this to..my tank was halfway down, and i went to fill it and it only accepted 4 gallons of gas! so being half way down..wouldn that be an 8 gallon tank?? altho there isnt such one, it would answer all my questions including why i have to fill up so often...its bs!
