Default Wiring Harness

I have a 2001 Neon. We also have a bad dip in the drive way! Unfortunately, hitting the curb so many times has caused a fray in the wiring harness just under the front bumper that has shorted out the lights on the side of the car. The cruise control has also stopped working though I do not know if this is related to the wiring as the code suggests its a problem with the vent or vaccum. Can someone tell me what this set of wires is called and how I would go about replacing it?

I am also having trouble with the A/C the compressor makes a horrible noise about every 5 seconds like it is trying to come on. Sort of a clicking, sputting noise. It does blow cold but not as cold as it should and we just had it recharged about 6 months ago. I would appreciate any help you can give me!

IF it is just frayed and you can get under there without much difficulty (set of rams and what not you could just solder in new lengths of wire and hit it with shrink wrap. Then protect the harness with Convoluted Tubing and tape that shut too. Should be good to go after that. Just make sure to get Gas/Water/Oil resistant wire and then you should be OK. If you can get shrink tube with adhesive as this will create a water tight bond.

IF you do not like soldering then just get high quality Butt-Splice connectors and do it that way. If you use this then make sure to get the adhesive lined shrink wrap butt-splices. Should not be a big deal after that.

Well the problem came to a head yesterday when I turned on my headlights while driving and both the wipers and wiper fluid came on and stuck. I had to take it to a friend of mine that works on cars so I could go to work. But I am happy to say the spicing worked! Even the Cruise control came back! Thanks for the advise! Because I knew what the problem was and how to fix it, it was done by the time I was off from work!
