[:@]HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH THE ROOF RAILS COMING UP?
MINE WEREN'T QUITE SITTING CORRECTLY, SO WE MENTIONED IT TO OUR DEALER, THEY ORDERED A NEW ONE FOR US.
WHEN THEY WERE GOING TO INSTALL IT THEY TOLD US THAT THERE WAS A 'TSB' REGARDING IT AND THEY [CHRYSLER] WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM.
INSTEAD OF PUTTING THE NEW ONE ON 'AND HAVING IT DO THE SAME THING' THEY RE-SEALED OURS. HOWEVER NOW IT IS WORSE THEN WHAT IT WAS ORIGIONALLY.[:@]
JUST CURIOUS IF ANYBODY HAS HAD BETTER LUCK WITH A FIX?

there is a TSB for it. And the answer is to use 3m double sided tape and retape it. But if you order new ones they change them a little. they come with the metal piece that is toward the back seperate when they together from factory with clips. Not sure what that accomplishes but they still use the 3m tape in the front. I know of a dozen or so replaced because of the same issue.

 

I live in Northern Alberta, and just noticed yesterdaythat besides the tape letting go, the forward hard mounting point has cracked completely off on the passenger side...

 

yep. thats from the wind force. It happens to them all. Take it in to get it fixed

 

Yep the same thing happened to mines. all i did was take it in and they fixed it for free. go and try that.

 

Just like you guys said, the dealership jumped on this and fixed it right away! Hopefully this is a permanent fix!

 

Would one of you all with the Nitro factory roof rails/crossbars please either post a photo of the crossbar and/or tell me how wide each crossbar is?

I'm a Magnum owner trying to determine if we have similar crossbars. Magnum crossbars are "rectangular," about 2.x inches wide and flat.

You could really help me out with this info... TIA!
