30000 miles on truck, dealership wants 700.00 for a tune up, tranny fluid change an frt an rear diff, because its 4 x 4, i know this is outrageous. i was looking to only spend about 300.00, has anyone done this themselves? an if so, what was the out come

 

That sounds high! What does a 4.0 need for a tune up at 30,000 miles? Mine is a 3.7 and it needs some stuff at 30K but I was thinking the 4.0 run the spark plugs 100,000 miles.

Check your owner’s manual and see exactly what it needs for tune up and fluid changes and maybe shop around or if you can do it yourself.

My first Nitro was a 2007; I traded for a 2008 both 3.7s and they changed the maintenance schedule quite a bit in one year.
