Sharon has a 2007 nitro, everytime she fills it up, the gas spews up the filler tube and onto the side of the truck, contacted dodge and brought the truck in, Dodge had to replace, tank, filler neck and check valve, apperantly, the ethanol the gas companies are using retains far more water then it should, everything was rotting out inside. If anyone has the same issues, contact dodge, these tanks and assemblies are on back order, because of the issues

 

Thanks for sharing this. My O8 Nitro has started doing the same thing. I did not even think of the possibility of it needing repaired. I will have to get this done before the warrantee expires.

 

When I first got the Nitro it did the same thing I just stopped sticking the filler nozzle into the neck as far.
