Default 2010 MyGig ?

Ok I need some help. I would like to install my wife a Non-Nav MyGig in her 2010 Nitro. She currently has the standard MP3 radio. She does have U-Connect (working) but not ipod. I was looking to get her a MyGig w/o Nav but still retain UConnect and add Ipod capabilities. I am not sure which "version" of the MyGig i would need to achieve this. I will also be installing a back-up camera so any advice on that front would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You will want to get a HIGH SPEED RBZ radio for this vehicle. This vehicle has a High speed CAN BUS system. As for the back up camera I will need to look into this. You would need to run wires to the radio connector. Then the vehicle needs to be flashed to tell it that you have the BU camera option.

I am not sure if there is 1 single radio with all of those options for ur vehicle. Unforunately if a Grand Cherokee have it does NOT mean it fits a Nitro, because Chrysler keep changing the CAN network every year.
Tho, you could install an Ipod/USB interface harness that plugs into your existing U-Connect module for fairly cheap. visit your dealer or Email Mopar web store for the right part u need.

regarding back up Cam, if you do not want a ghetto look of having a 4" monitor sticking up on top of ur dash, or worry about someone breaking into ur car and steal it, I recommed an Aftermerket Back Up Camera unit that replace the Factory Rear View Mirror. Some of them even have GPS integrated to it.

since u alrdy have a MyGig radio, you can save some money compare to going a full blown Mopar accessory with this set up,.

The back up camera can be added to the vehicle. The only thing is that the camera wires into a white connector on the radio, your vehicle does not have that connector in the factory harness. You would need to find this connector, it's possible that the parts dept may be able to order it as a pig tail harness. I am trying to get the schematics for this radio, but most of my contacts are gone till 1-9-2012 for the Christmas vacation.
