Dodge nitro 2008 - central locking failed
Greetings from the UK hope someone can help us.
The central locking will not respond to the key fob it is fine re unlocking and setting the alarm. Its the same for both key fobs and won't lock either by just using the key.
I've been told that this may involve getting an expensive part shipped to the UK, or try disconnecting the battery, not sure both sides or just negtive.
Any help welcome

Try resetting the computer first, or you may have to get a new lock relay module.

Hi everyone , just had the car for a month suddenly the central locking is not responding to both key fob i have to lock the door manually one by one. Unlocking the car through fob is fine and setting the alarm.when i press the lock button you can see the lights blink once , means the alarm is activated but the door wont lock.does anyone experienced this?
Any help please.

I'm sorry to learn about your door lock concern. Have you spoken with the facility you purchased the Nitro? Are there any fault codes present?
A formal diagnosis would be able to efficiently pinpoint the root cause. In some cases your symptoms may be related to the door lock motor.
Thanks for the concern, i bought the car from a private seller.. ive been to the dealer this morning but they couldnt find the fault. Here is the report carried out WiTech test - checked and found the integrated power module is receivibg signal from the key fob and from the door switches. And they want to carried out more checks and im worried for the cost of elimination process which is there is no guarantee to fix the problem. Thanks

Your initial diagnosis has eliminated a potential cause, providing further insight to what is ultimately responsible. I would recommend speaking with the Service Manager in regards to the dealer's next course of action.
