I have a 2008 Dodge Nitro and the liftgate is not working from outside or by using the keychain remote to trigger the actuator.

Can someone tell me or provide link to instructions/video on how to open the liftgate from the inside? I can open the access panel but from there I do not know what I need to do to get the liftgate to open. I need this to open so I can replace brake lights.

Also if there are instructions on taking the back panel off so I can see if the actuator is working or not and replace it myself I would be grateful.
