Default dodge nitro wont rev above 3000rpm

Hi guys looking for some advice.

My nitro 2.8crd sxt wont rev above 3000rpm there is no engine management light showing or any other warning light on for that matter.
It has been on a diagnostic machine and has no error codes any advice would be gratefully received

Does this happen while you are driving or while you are in park or neutral?

When I hear rev, I think of a car sitting there and the driver hits the gas to hear the exhaust.

Could be a number of things, but to name three, it could be a clogged fuel pump or fuel lines. Ensure these aren't the issue and an ediquet fuel supply is available. Next, check the catalytic converter. A clogged one will make the vehicle seem like it has drag (brakes dragging). Have a shop visually inspect the cat to determine that. Last one I'll hit on, if you have a timing belt, it may have jumped a tooth and cause incorrect valve timing. In turn, most newer vehicles have safety points to prevent the worst from happening. Have a shop check the valve timing, timing belt visually, etc.

Only doing it while in park now revs properly when driving
