Does anyone know what this is attached underneath the dash on the driver side?
2007 Doge Nitro. It was my parents car, they just gave it to me. I’be been getting familiarized with it since Dad handed over the keys, but even he didn’t know what this is. Any thoughts?

I've seen them stuck everywhere. If you don't have a reader, get yourself one. The basic ones will read and erase codes but a medium priced one comes in really handy at times.
