Default 2011 nitro 4.0 charging issue

Having issues with my charging system. Started two weeks ago the issue is the generator is not charging properly idle no load charges at 12.2 with full load at idle 11.70 volts. Replaced generator and issue continued removed and had tested at two different shops tested perfectly. New battery and grounds are all good fuses all good. I tried to install an external voltage regulator but it caused a new issue which was overcharging 18 volts causing Speedo and radio to stop working along with abs, airbag, battery and tcs lights to come on. That only happened when providing 12 volts for external regulator. I have given up on the external regulator my ground were solid even added two additional ground straps to the regulator as a precaution. At this point I’m assuming it’s the pcm but wanted to post just in case this sounds familiar to somebody. I am looking for company’s that can repair the ecu vs paying a stealership $1500+ for a replacement. I took it to the dealer to see if they could pinpoint the issue but I realized they are morons when the tech said non insulated butt connectors installed on the generators two wire harness were the cause. I say moron because I solder all my connections always have and use heat shrink and wrap in tape. They never bothered to actually look at the harness just assumed because it was taped butt connector were used. Any help with repair or a ecu repair shop would be greatly appreciated. I’m surprised the ecu could be the cause I only have 90k miles on the nitro and this started after a 200 mile road trip next day after getting home the generator started whining car died and the issues started. Interesting thing the radio is now bad no volume at all just stopped working checked connections and it seemed fine no idea but a radio is the least of my concerns right now.
