Default Running Boards

For those of you that have the running boards, what do you think? I think they are not well designed for the Nitro. They stick out too much on the sides and are not that functional. For those that live in the snow regions like I do, they can be great mudguards.[/align]

Not functional but are great mudguards - isn't that a little bit contradictory? You think they made them more for aesthetics and what would make them more functional? I haven't seen them in person yet but thought they looked good with the black vs. red nitro. I'm a fan of the nitro in general and like the look of of the whole car.

I was being sarcastic when I said 'great mudguards'. The intent of the running boards was to make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle. Since they stick out too far, the tendency will be people will trip or stumble on it when they exit/enter the vehicle. I have a coworker who has a pre-production Nitro w/ the boards and he hates them. Not because they don'tlook good, but because theyget in his way all the time. And he's 6ft. tall. Go look at one w/ running boards closely and you'll know what I mean.
