I had the exterior safety light leak. It was pretty significant and we on for several months. I did not drive the vehicle often so from at least Dec to March every time it rained there was likely some intrusion. I am dealing with Chrysler on this matter, so I am not asking about getting it repaired. It seemed it affected several things (dome lights, back up camera, back up sensor and I was getting error messages). These other issues started at the exact same time as the leak and to me it is logical they are related. The error messages were determined to be a control module. It had to be replaced. I asked, and was told the leak would not have affected the body control module. I am having a hard time believing the two things are not related. Does anyone know for sure. I would just like to know for sure if Chrysler is telling me the truth. Would the leak have cause problems with the body control module?
