Stacks on a mega cab?
no you wouldn't get pulled over but what we're getting at is that you just mighht end up with a whole mess load of piping under that truck to make stacks possible. Plus I don't think having tubing wrapped around all over would be too good. Take some pics of the underside of ur truck that way we can see what's goin on down there. None of us have really seen too much of the 6.7 and some pics would help us in deciding on ur possibilities.
Doesnt look any different than a 5.9 on the underside as far as exhaust routing. Truck is identical, just different motor. The exhaust route is the same as a 5.9. Your not missing anything.
The routing might look close to the same as the 5.9L but, it's not the same exhaust. You have a lot of electronics connected to the 6.7L exhaust. You'll have big problems setting codes that you can't get rid of if you try to remove the exhaust.
As mentioned.... you might need to just wait a little while. Someone may come out with a programmer that will deal with the codes you'll set. The 6.7L motor is built for clean emissions and messing with any of the emissions including the exhaust will likely void your warranty.

from the pictures I have seen of the location of the components you should be able to put some stacks on it without problems.

Drew, is most of the electronics sensors and the particulate filter situated lik ejust after teh turbo or like in the area right under the cab? If so then yea vegas you'd have no problem running stacks, just strip off the muffler and cat (dunno if cat is possible) and then do the stacks you'd have no issues. I've never seen pics of the underside of one to see where the filter is located and where sensors if any are.
ahh thanks for enlightening me to that lil tid bit. Vegas you should have no problems with stacks. I guess dodge thought about exhaust systems before they built it. another reason why dodge is the best
Well I took the mega down the street to the 18 wheeler place. They agreed that I can do the stacks, and they agreed to do them when I decide.....I'm having them, have only the stacks come threw the bed, no other piping showing so it will look professional. I have one question now....What do you use to keep the stacks from rubbing and rattling inside the hole in the bed? Do they make rubber gromets that big? I seen some installs thats are sloppy and oakie and every bump they take the stacks dont move with the bed, they vibrate and rattle against the hole on the bed. What can I use to keep them firmly planted in the bed so they dont rattle and move around in the hole? I want this to look professional as if it came from the factory that way. I dont have a bed liner yet, but Im getting one soon, a sprayed on Rhino Liner.
BTW- They are doing the exhaust from the dpf back because that is where the sensors stop, no muffler all straight pipe in stainless steel piping, with straight 6" polished stainless steel stacks w/ slant cut tips, and they quoted me a price better than I expected!!
