Well,just got back from an experiment,I took the tuner out,back to stock,cant do anything about the headers or mufflers,but I put the stock air box back on,showed my neighbor your non sense,and we went for a test,his 2006 ctd against my 2004 gas burner. no contest. you might want torethink your offer.

 

oh yea,almost forgot (Torque x Engine speed) / 5,252 = Horsepower

I am fine,cool as a cucumber,no problems at all. I have all the respect in the world for the CTD,its without a doubt the finest diesel on the market. I dont know why Cumminalong is so hot under the collar,I guess i hurt his pride. I have no problem listening to his opinion and will consider any and all well thought out points of view. after all,at the end of the day,all this bickering means absoloutly nothing,it doesnt have any impact on my life at all. I certainly wont lose any sleep worying about this forum! Everybody have a great day!

 

not tryin to butt in here. in this alleged "experiment" of yours, were ya on a track with cameras and officials?

this goes for every vehicle ever produced.........if you buy a ctd today, it may not run as well as the one you buy tomorrow. same for anything out there. now I do LOVE my CTD as old as it may be!!!

just cause you wooped on yo boy next door doesnt mean he knows how to drive, or that he didnt let you win!?!??!!?

I agree Baja, heres the poop. I cannot remove my cam,gears,(4.56:1) torque converter or exhaust,so I cant go back to bone stock. I did remove my tune and close and bleed the n2o. My buddys CTD is bone stock,he wont touch it while its still under warranty. He drives VERY well,his race car is a 4 speed Dart with a big block,so he is no stranger to shifting. We ran twice,I won the first by about 5 legnths,I gave him 2 on the second run and beat him by 2. We used his GPS to mark the 1/4 mile. His is a 2500 quad 2 wd mine is a swb single cab. Not exactly fair weight wise,but not much I can do about that.To be honest,givin my gear and cam,it would probubly be a dead even race bone stock. I am in awe of the CTD,my point is that the HEMI deserves some respect too! They respond well to power mods and are reliable engines when properly cared for.
