Ok here is a test what is the best ,that will fit that is, in a 2007 Ram, CTD with air, and stock coolers, for the 48RE auto tranny?

I will be doing a lot of towing and most will be heavy at about 13500 lbs, on a hitch with tounge weight of 1400lbs

Thanks

Doesn't your tranny already have a cooler?

Have you put a Mag-tec pan on yet?

Yea bud, it has the stock cooler, and nope on the deeper pan yet, still at about 12000 k's on it so soon I will be doing the deeper pan, but I was also wanting to do a bigger cooler at the same time.

Perhaps it's not a cooler that you need, but another fan. Demon installed some auxillary fans on his Ram and he really likes em. Perhaps a combo of the two?

Here's Demon's rig ...

That is a good idea for me also as the stock cooler does look big enough, just not to sure how it will perform in the real world, I pulled one little trailer about 25 miles and less the hwy speed, ( yes it was kinda stop and go ) and the tranny did heat up to about 185F or so, which I was shocked to see, considering the trailer was only a little thing at about 8000lbs.
When MT and no trailer it runs around 125 or lower all the time, so that is why I want to add the extra cooling power.

Perhaps the fans and the deep pan is all you'll need? The pan holds an extra quart and has the cooling fins on the bottom. Hopefully someone else will chime in for ya with a better cooler though. I'm thinking the only way it's going to be any better though is if it's bigger, pretty much the same as the bigger pan.

As you can see it is pretty big and room is very hard to find under the hood of mine anyway
