The 2500 suspension should work. Supposedly the V10 suspension is heavier than the diesel suspension, so you might want to look there. I'm thinking about doing it.

Well banks set a couple and speed records with a cummins powered dakota. http://www.bankspower.com/sidewinder.cfm They give a decent description of some of the work that they had to put into it to make it work.

If you want to see some wierd set up just check out youtube and type in cummins. There's a couple Jeeps in there and some other interesting combos with the cummins engine.

ok heres another question. would it b worth it? would it be alot faster then in a 2500 or just a lil. the fastest CTD around here is a 2001 with 24v 5 or 6 spd ain't sure but has a chip, intake and straight piped and i can't stand him lol i'd want to be faster than that atleast.

if you want to be fast thats easy. . .get a 12 valve with a nicely built auto behind it, then for the engine got for either a PDR street raceP7100 or an II dragon fly P7100, a set of 370 injectors and either a SPS64 or something comprable. just that will net you close to 400 or a bit more which will be more than enough to dust that 01 easy.

edit: is it worth it. . .you would probably have the only diesel 1500 in the area that is able to pull better than 20mpg, and can leave most sports cars at the line

No ofense to nobody. but i'd like for it to be 5 or 6 spd. would that sacrifice alot speed? i've talked with the bank and i'll have about 8-9 grand to put in the motor and tranny upgrades i would like Twin T's but are they worth it and how expensive are they?what else would have to b modified to run them, stouter head gasket? biger injectors, etc?

you would loose boost during shifts. . .also most diesel dragsters are auto's, the sled pullers are sticks.

dont bother with twins. . .if you have a large enough single it will keep 500-550 cool. . .the only problem may be getting it to light properly without surging. what I listed in my previous post will be enough for you to belch ~400hp at the wheels through an auto.
