So last night on FOX News it was reported that the oil companies were planning on cutting refining by over 30% in the next month or so in order to repair and maintain machinery. Kind of convenient since the summer driving season is coming up and more people will be back on the roads. And its not like there is a sortage of oil, its just a slowing of refinement that's screwing with us all.

just leave it to the econowenies to not allow us to build more refining capacity. thenewest refinery was built some time in the late 70's early 80's. BTW, refineries have been shutting down since then and no new ones have been built due to building codes would be tooo expensive to adhear to.

Down here in SW Florida diesel is about 15-20 cents cheaper than gas. And to think people were telling mefrom last summer up to this summer thatthey wouldn't get a diesel because it was sooooo expensive, now who's laughing. I paid $2.83 last night for diesel.

I've heard the expensive diesel line from waaaaay too many people to count. Most of them are driving the new big engine Chevys and are getting 7mpg hauling and not a lot better driving around. Personally I'd rather pay a little more for fuel if I have to and get better mileage (20+ driving, about 16 pulling) and have the power to pull something out of its own shadow.

Where are you guys living!? I live 20 miles out side of Seattle, in a RICH town, called Sammamish.
Diesel is 3.00 - 3.05, gas is like 3.40 - 3.50.
No one drives diesels where I live. I only know 2 other people who drive diesels in my small *** town, and they both drive CTD's. Hahaha.

Thats because they want us all to drive hybrids or plug in cars but something has to make the energy to your outlet. the winers have no solutions just mental issues. 3.09 gas, 2.79 to 2.95 diesel BBBBBBBSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

Part of the reason there has been no new refinery's built is the damn greenie environmentalists would block any attempt and hold it up in court for many many years. All they do is hold up progress.
