Default edge w/additude

hey, I have a 99 cummins with edge chip with attitude and sometimes (mostly when its cold) and I punch the gas the module will give me an alert for low fuel psi, it goes down to 1 sometimes, can anyone tell me if this is a major problem, and what could cause it? thanks for any help.

What kind of mileage you got on it?

Does the pressure come right back up or is it staying low. 12-15 psi is normal, but lower than 3-5 psi, even under a load, might mean that your lift pump is crapping out.

Cheap to get a new lift pump, better yet a FASS, but EXPENSIVE to get a new injection pump.

yes the pressure goes right back up, and it only does it in stage 4 or 5

That is pretty normal when you chip a 24v, the solution would be to get a new lift pump. I changed mine out to a FASS when I noticed my lowpressure light was coming on at full load.

That's your problem right there. Mine, on Stage 5, starts cutting out too. You're running the fuel rail dry and the pump can't fill it quick enough.

Only ways around that, like jake said, is get a higher rated injector pump and run a FASS to supply that pump with enough volume of fuel to keep it going.

Best bet would be a FASS combined with an upgraded VP44. Just the upgradedVP44 itself will push about 30% more fuel. Add the dual feeder and your rail recovery time goes down to half and add the FASS and you'll never starve it at all.
