Does anyone know how to turn up a stock turbo on a 2002 cummins? I have seen on the sites that sell the adj. pressure elbows that they will not work on a 02 . How can i turn it up, and is it safe?

I've got ZILCH for an answer for ya, I just wanted to welcome you aboard !!

 

best thing to do is to get yourself a boost elbow. it attaches itself to the compressor side of the turbo, and you can adjust the allen head to bleed off boost pressure to delay the opening of the waste gate for higher boost numbers.

on some of the turbo's this fitting will not work with out modification. I beleive your turbo is like mine and has a steel line running from the compressor housing to the wastegate (only about 1 1/2 inches long). I pulled that line off the housing and plugged it, I'll see aboiut getting some pics if your interested.

 

thanks for the info jake brake but im a little nervous to just to plug the waste gate. Wont that give the motor full boost all of the time or over boost the motor? I did find a j hook from bully dog for the 01
&02 that goes on the waste gate but their wasnt much ifo on them.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has used on of these.
