Just wondering if anyone uses the amsoil products in their CTD? How much is it for a litre? do they make just synthetic diesel oil or conventional oil to? What filter system is that where the oil gets pumped back into the oil fill hole (is it amsoil)? Is amsoils only HDD oil the 3000 5w30?

I am using the amsoil 15w-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil. I use the Donaldson filters and change them every 7500 miles and change the oil every 15,000 miles. You can go longer than this on the oil if you get it analyzed. I did the oil analysis one time and went 30k on the same oil, but it is easier for me to change it every 15,000.

It costs around $100 every oil change when I buy 2 filters and one 2.5 gallon jug of oil. That sounds like a lot, but figure the price of regular oil and filters and change it every 3,000 miles and you will spend a lot more.

I think a LOT of fellas here are now using Amsoil. It really seems to be gaining in popularity lately.

I'm upgrading my transmission next week and will fill er' up with Amsoil ATF. Am considering a bypass filtration system and Amsoil synthectic motor oil.
