I put an AFE stage 2 air intake and havent oiled it could that damage my eng

afe uses the oil to filter out the smaller particles. Dust will stick to the cylinder walls causing scoring. I would get that thing oiled asap!

they come ready to run out of the box... the only time it needs re-oiling is after a wash.

How and what kind of oil do you use to oil them. I have the k&n filter and have never oiled it. Do these come pre oiled?

If the filter is red, then it is oiled. If you wash it the filter turns white. You can run down to any parts store and get the kit to clean you k&n. I believe it's around $15 and it's good for about 8 times.
