Default looking for a truck

sold my chevy gas job a few months ago, been looking for a dodge diesel ever since. i like the 2nd gens and something with a 24v. can you guys tell me the differences between the trucks from 99-02? I was wanting an 01 or 02 but came across a pretty nice 99.

And for now the truck would remain stock, but will put in a fuel pressure gauge. what are normal pressures? what is the lowest you want to see for psi? thanks.

99-01 have rear drum brakes, 02 have rear disc. Thats all i know of, but im sure there are more. normal pressures are 14-16 psi at idle and no less than 10 psi at wot

keep an eye out for the infamous "53" block... tends to crack more than the others. in the '01's & later you may find it easier to find the 55 block which is a solid motor... not trying to scare you, just bringing up the info...
