Default Swapping springs in...

Got my 3" springs in yesterday and will be looking to put them in within the next couple of weeks. Going to be taking out the 2" spacers to sell and also selling the new edelbrock IAS shocks that I just got back from Summit (warranty swap) if anyone is interested.

I'm also going to order the mini-leaf packs I mentioned in an earlier thread oooh cant wait!

Which brand of springs and mini packs did you go with (Lorenz, Thuren, Carli, or someone else)?

I am thinking about making a simliar change to my 06 quad cab and would really like to hear your thoughts onhow the ride compares between the three ways you have had your truck set up. 1st with the stock set up. 2nd with the 2' spacers and finally with new springs, leak packs and shocks.

Pictures of the install would be helpful too

Thanks
James

Why the delay?
Are you going on another one of your "field trips" with Louie or something ??

lol, uh, yeah... MeanGreen (1st gen Durango forum) and I are going wheeling next week plus I dont have the shocks yet. I"m going to order them tomorrow along with the lorenz mini leaf pack for the rear.

It would be nice to sell the new eddy's 1st before getting the replacement shocks... but somehow I dont think that's going to happen. someone already asked about the spacers and wants them so I will have to get my *** in gear and get them swapped out.

I got them off craigslist... the PO bought them and had them 2 weeks... decided to trade his truck in and wanted stock tires. $1000 bux + my stockers... he gave me the reciept he had for them and it cost him over $2400 bux, mounted balanced, lugs & locks. what a deal.

did you hear about my find on CL for the same tires? 2500 miles, same size & model for $400 bux! saved about 800 on them vs new. they even have the little injection stubbie thingies on them still...

Sorry, I missed part of your post... I would be happy to give my opinion on the 3 setups... I can give 2 of the three now... (and later) the stock setup is toooo soft & mushy, adding the spacers didnt change the ride quality when compared to the stock setup too much, a little stiffer at the most. Adding the IAS shocks was awesome... firmer ride with much more control on pavement, off road performance is excellent... the inertia valve performs awesome on rough roads & trails.

it'll be interesting to see what I get when I have the new springs & leaf packs installed...
