No, not a new trans. I just had the pan off 3 months ago doing a service and I cleaned the magnet off then and flushed the trans out as best I could.

That does look like a lot for three months use.
Iwould try some thing like putting in an additive or maybe
some high dollar fluid.
That much where would have me concerned too.
I guess we know what your next mod will be.

What brand of trans fluid did you use? Being you said it was only 3 month old I think it must not of been wrong with it to break down that fast.

If you've been doing dyno runs and the like, I wouldn't worry a bit. That little bit of metal is nothing to be concerned about. When it gets so much clutch material and metal in there that it clogs your filter, or you have big chunks, that's when to worry. All that is just the reason the magnet is there.

Jake,

I'm surprised you got it that hot to burn up the fluid and not have shift problems in a very short time. My self I paid the extra $$ and installed Amsoil fluid so that I know for sure I have 100% quality synthetic trans fluid as none of the lables I've read for Mopar or even Valvoline fluid say if its synthetic or a synthetic blend. I feel if they can not state what type it is on the lable then it must not be synthetic fluid.

It's starting to shift erratic, missing gears sometimes. It really likes to go hunting too.

Sounds like that 6 speed in December might be in October instead. I hope not for your sake. []

Jake, When you say flushed how did YOU do it? Could it be it was not flushed as good as you think? May be that was left in your TC. I hope that is what it is for your sake.
