Man, I hate changing out exhaust systems but my father and I are both cheap. We did my turbo back kit in an RV parking lot, his C5vette mufflers with a hacksaw (no sawzall) without lifting it (sitting on wheel dollies in storage), and now his rusted out tacoma muffler last month. I'm glad to hear you got it done.

will the AERO 4040xl slide onto a muffler delete pipe from genos garage? my truck is a 2004.5 ram diesel

I want to cut cat off and stock muffler. I got a aero4040xl and want to put genos garge muffler delete pipe where my stock muffler is. will it work or will i need some extra pipe? (flexpipe)? will the aero 4040xl slide ont o the muffler delete pipe or are the 2 ends the same size?

I'm sure it'll work, but from what I've been reading it seems that people who mount their Aeros where the cat was instead of where the stock muffler was seem to be the ones complaining about the drone noise. That's why I always suggest mounting the Aero back where the stock muffler was.

FYI: Mounting it where the stock muffler was is where Aero suggests you mount it as well.

Wow. Mine was easy as hell. I did mine in my driveway in 40 degree weather, raining, while sick. Plus, MBRP doesn't make an 08 Kit yet so i bought am 07 Kit. It was a few bolts, it came right off with some elbow grease, and in went the new. the only hard part putting on the driver side exhaust, trying to clear the spare tire and the shock, and the y pipe hangers didn't line up with the hangers.

Mine was easy too. Guess it helps that they didn't crimp anything when they tightened the clamps plus it was all brand new. Now I'm at a crossroads though debating a cat delete. Should I do it? I know around here that's almost like asking a dog if it's hungry. I've got the delete pipe already I just can't make my mind up if I want to wake the neighbors up when I leave out at 3am
