Guys! I have a 2006 -3500 with 11000 miles,and recently I have notice when I go to start the truck some times the starter will not turn over.If I sit there and keephitting the key to start the truck it will crank the starter after 3 or 4 timesand the motor will start.I have check both batteries and ignition is there. but the starter will not turn over,very intermitently,almost like no 12volts is get to the starter.I can hear the relay clicking but not starter.[/align]I have taken it to the dealer twice and they said the cant find anything.Have any one experence this problem.[/align][/align] Nick[/align]

I have an idea. Sometimes my truck doesnt engage Park or reverse. I have to jiggle the shift handle to get it in. Maybe your not all the way in park? just a thought. Mine doesnt do it alot to the point of frustration, just once in awhile. Might try jigglin the handle next time that happs? worth a shot

 

either a bad starter selonoid or a loose terminal on the starter. If it clicks when it acts up, the neutral saftey switch is working.

 

Thanks for all the replies.I drop the truck off at the Dealer this morning ,and they said ,they will order a new starter for it.I hope that will fix the problem.
