Default Father’s Day 2007

Well I took the plunge! Hearing that Dodge was going to release the 6.7 Cummins and seeing the success of Dodge in the past few years I took it upon myself to visit my local stealership to pick one up. The kids didn’t know we were getting a new rig (we have six kids… that story will be told later) and were hangin out with the grandparents. My wife and I drove it off the lot and spent the day driving around and showing off.

Father’s Day 2007
Our kids had no idea that I was the one who picked the new truck out. All they knew is that it was Father’s Day and that Mommy hooked them up with a wonderful Father’s Day gift to give to me.

@ 0700 the bedroom door flew open and a swarm of little feet danced around my head while screams of “I have a surprise for you on Father’s Day!” “No! It’s MY surprise!!!” “NO IT’S MINE!!!” “IT’S MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” … you get the picture.

I made my way out of bed past the stampede of hooves and flying fur (4 girls and 2 boys – OMG!!!) and pulled something suitable on. After peeling the 2 youngest girls off of each other and drying some tears we made our way outside to view the surprise gift.

Now let me tell you I have never had any acting classes but I put on an Oscar winning performance that would put Mr. Pacino to shame! The kids were so happy and of course so was Daddy!

What a great Father’s Day! It will be one to remember forever!!!

Stay tuned for my next post... and find out why I am not happy with only ONE thing about my new rig... and for me it's a doosy!

I am in Avondale, work in Tempe and son (youngest) was going to school in Surprise. we are thinking of moving there but not sure. Also thinking about the Verrado or Marley park communitys. Besides thaqt little problem you will love the truck. I let mine run for a few minutes, with a/c on recirculate, that ususally makes it bearable. otherwise, tint and sunshades.

Thanks Y'all! I'm proud to be here! Thx for all the replies on the AC issue too. I have the power so I may as well tow a 6 ton AC behind and just vent it through the back window. That should do it!

I don't think i could handle giving it back. I WILL find a solution!

Well, if your going to stick with it either way, why don't you stack some electric fans in there like Demon did? He says that his cab is like a FREEZER now !!
