anybody know of a cheap place to get my muffler cut off, i live in a dinky east-texas town and need it cut off so i can tow. anybody know anybody cheap in houston or near there. I was quoted 80 bucks just to cut off the muffler

 

it's gunna be loud and have quite a drone if you tow

you could get a sawzall and just hack it off.

 

the $80 was probably to not only cut off the muffler but, also to replace the gap with a muffler delete pipe. I'm sure their shop cost per hour is at least $60. You don't find much of anything free anymore!

I just payed $25 to have it done in a "dinky" Oklahoma town west of Muskogee. Took them bout an hour to do that plus align it.
From my experience the small reputable shops usually have the best rates.

Can take a pic before dark if anyone cares.
