I would have a talk with the guys from Gale Banks, they don't just deal with diesels, they do gassers too. Those guys know how to put a turbo on anything.

I did some research last night and while I found a lot of places that sell a lot of turbos I didnt find anything dakota specific. Best thing I found wasa new turbo for around $800 that was wastegated at 8-10psi. Other than that they sold a lot of parts and pieces but with no pictures it was hard to tell what it was and if it was usable. I think a few on this forum could make it happen, it would be a bit too big of a custom fab job for me.

 

Frenchy, didnt anyone ever tell you trying to mod a 4.7L V8 motor from Dodge was a waste of time?

No seriously, the guys are right. Trying to custom modify a CTD turbo for a gasser would not only be truly expensive, but stupid. Like they've said, go with either a supercharger or seriously mod the motor.

Unfortunately, I'm of the opinion that modding any gas truck is a waste, when you can get more bang for your buck with a diesel.....not to mention better gas mileage!
