my clutch in my 06 has started squeaking and feels spongy when i press it. does anyone know what this may be?? help please.

 

Could be the throwout bearing or the dual mass flywheel.

 

thst cant be good on a truck with 17000 miles can it. the clutch goes out of warranty at 12k

 

Squeeze in under your dash board, and bring a little lube with you that won't eat rubber. The linkage for the clutch that goes through the fire wall has a rather tight rubber grommet around it, try lubing that a little and see if it gets better. Mine was doing it and at my last oil change I had the tech (who is younger and thinner than me) get in there and lube it and it was better for a while. Now it is readyto be doneagain.
