Front tow hook options?
Yours didnt come with any? Look in the off road section. I remember there being a post about making tow hooks for the front. https://dodgeforum.com/m_741093/tm.htm. Or you could just get a front reciever hitch. My brother in law has one and now he has a winch in it. We installed it in a coulple of hours and it wasnt really any big deal. looks clean too.
I'll look into the off road section. I thought a possible spot to mount some d-rings would be right under the frame with some brackets. I havent looked at it yet to see if a strap would clear the front air dam or if it's even a good idea to mount them down there. If there are any other options beyond the factory hooks, I'm open to checking them out...
nope, no factory hooks.

if you look at where the frame and the front bumper mount you should have some factory holes for the hooks. . .I have them and they have been VERY handy.
if you need some pics just lemme know.

I was looking at some on ebay and noticed the bracket looks like the one I have... so I took a good look at it and all I need is the hook part. I think I know where I can get some too...
to bolt those on, does the bumper need to be dropped?

from the looks of it yea. there is a plastic spacer you have that I dont. with the hooks there the spacer has to be removed. once you have the hooks on the bumper would probably just get bolted on over the hooks. . .once the rain stops here I'll try and snap a shot
well I just got back from looking at Kerstens truck... he has support brackets that are added on top of the bumper mounting bracket, so if you dont have the support bracket, it'll probably cave under a heavy load.
Drew did yours have the support brackets on it from the factory but no tow hooks? or did you just bolt them in to the existing bracket w/o the support bracket? when you take a pic, if possible, can you snap one from underneath?

mine came from the factory as par of the off road package. . .I just took these before I read this post. . .I'll see if I can get something in a little bit, if not first thing in the morning.

take a shot of behind the mount... where the nuts would attach to the bracket. there should be a brace on both sides of the frame reinforcing the mount for the hook... If yours came with them stock, i'd expect the brace to be there... so if anyone is looking for factory tow hooks... make sure you get those braces...
I had those plastic covers over my mounting holes as well and I just ripped them out with my pliers. If you're willing to put a brush guard on the front, they have tow loops built in.
