Default new member needs transmission help

Hi ,

I have a 2003 Ram 3500 cummins with 86,000 miles. I have all gears but second gear is very rough getting into and when it automtically downsifts it jumps into 2nd gear. The tranny was serviced and was told there were no medal shavings or any signs of damage. I have a banks six gun and speed loader as well. I was also told the tranny wasgetting very hot as well. If anyone has heard or had these transmission symptoms it would really help.

Thanks

Rob

Welcome to the club...both...I ahve an 05 35002wd and my truck did the same thing. About 3 weeks ago it started shifting wierd and which then led to slippage. Last Thursday mornign I woke up and it wouldn't pull itself out of the driveway. I've drained the fluid and it looked fine, it didn't smell burnt or have any shavings in it. Yesterday I dropped $3200.00 on a new tranny and I should be good to go in 2 weeks when it gets here...it sucks, but thats what we get for buying a Mopar product. The Cummings is the only reason I even considered a DUDge, if it weren't for that I would have bought a PowerStroke...should have known better than to think their tranny would last.
