I was wondering if you can buy new facotry flip out mirrors for a 98 since I have seen them on 00-02 dodge trucks. Thats the one thing I want on my 98 3500. Anyone know anything about this?

 

Tow type mirrors?

I don't think I've ever seen them on a 98. Not that I recall anyway, although Jake might have them now that i think about it.

 

yes you can and yes they have to be modified. I dont know what the mod is since I have a 3rd gen truck. you'll have to research it.

 

One of my buddies tried to put some '05 tow mirrors on his '02 and there was about a 1"-2" gap between the bracket and the arm. I'm pretty sure the '00-'02 mirrors will fit the '98. I've seen a '96 with the tow mirrors. But don't take my word for it.

 

I'm guessing if you got the 00-02 style they should fit on the 98 due to the fact that the body style really didn't change a whole lot, and that or you might have to find some modified ones like Steve suggested. Not really sure, mine came with em, they're pretty cool.

 

yea I have seen them on 00-02 trucks, so that why Im wondering if they will fit my 98. I love those mirrors!!

 

I was just looking in my LMC truck catalog and believe it or not the mirrors look different. Where they come down to a point at the bottom, the 98 mirro comes to a definate point, whereas the 02 is squared off.
