Default Onboard Air and Horn Mounting

Hey, fellas! My friendly UPS guy just dropped off a Viair air kit and a Grover air horn that I ordered from Air Horns of Texas. Links: Air kit. Grover air horn.

I guess the compressor and 2.5-gal tank should mount nicely on the inside of the frame rail under the bed. Do any of you guys have suggestions for mounting the horns? There's room behind the front bumper, but I'm not sure to what I should bolt it. I don't see much space under the hood.

Mount it on top of the cab like a big rig.

Yep, I'd throw it on the roof.... and get some stacks to go with it!!!

BTWhow much did it all cost you? I've been thinking about something like this for all the gay city driving I have to do in St.Louis MO. I wouldHAVE to have the strap on the ceiling of the cab to pull down to activate it though. haha.

No, I had better not put the horn on the roof. I have to go into a parking garage in DC once in awhile that has a 6'7" clearance. Plus, I tend to go for the subtle,"sleeper" look

The air system was $369, which included a Viair 325C compressor, a 2.5 gallon tank, solenoid, pressure switch, plus all the wiring and tubing to set it up.

The Grover 1601 horn was $78. I wanted the Grover 1030 because of its awesome sound, but it cost a lot more and its big size (24" long, 6" flared bell) would give me fewer mounting options.

I mounted my horns up under the front bumper on the drivers side facing down. If yo crawl under the front of your truck, you'll see the spot. It's kinda between the fenderwell and the bumper.

Nevermind, I just noticed you have a 3rd gen. Oh well ... maybe you have this spot as well. If not, why not mount them under the bed along with the tank facing down? I'm sure you'll still be heard.
