Color my neck red if you must.....
I have a Motorola CDM1550LS+ VHF, used for oilfield work mounted under the temp comtrols. I had to buy the remote head kit though.... But still looks neat and tidy. For mounting the antenna i just purchased a fender mount kit.... It mounted using a factory fender bolt... No scratching of the paint due to magnet, and no holes to drill....
The head for the radio is mounted under the centre seat anlong with a wireless booster for my truck phone...
Will post pictures shortly.....

Here is also a picture of the other fender..... **FYI** VHF or CB antenna must be mounted away from AM/FM antenna to prevent cross interferance....
This is my phone and data antenna mounts! Another good idea is to buy double shielded antenna wire if you plan on running your antenna wire near other power wires or antennas.

Does anyone else mount their antennas this way? I figured this is the best way because I am not having to drill holes in the vehicle, and the magnets would scratch paint...
Where did you find those mounts? I saw another truck with them and he sent me to Walcott CB but they said their mount like that was not good for my 2006 truck. That is where I want to mount my antenna.
Nick,
Around here we just go to our local 2-way radio dealer and ask for a fender mount.... I think for the dodge they have been the same for years.... I had these same mounts on my 2005 and my 2007.

I got an 03 QC and all i did was mount my antenna in the bed on the driver side where the tie down hole is and just used 2 big *** washers on either side of the hole so i didn;t drill one hole!
look at www.autolaptoplinkinc.com they sell cb mounts for like $30 , looks like a nice mount i got a laptop mount from them for my truck and its great.
