hey whats up everyone...i was told this forum could help meso i signed up, so here goes.ive got a 2004 cummins dually 4x4 6 spd and the fuel delivery keeps cutting out.lift pump and injection pump test fine. when i do the on acc on etc thing it gives me codes p2122 p2121 p 2146 and p2149,i got about 130.000 any help and suggestions is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

How much fuel pressure you getting up to the injection pump? The lift pumps on these things are known to go bad. Since you got such a big list of codes, I would clear them and see which ones come back as you drive it around.

 

I can't help you with your problem but I would like to say nice truck and welcome to DF.

 

What is the fuel pressure when you tested? Any kind of smoke when start up or rough idle?

 

this might be kinda dumb but how do i chek the pressure and how do i clear the codes to see which come back, i took it to a local shop and they are the ones that said both my pumps are good.

 

From your post sounded like you had a fuel pressure guage.You can clear the codes if you have a code scanner or a programmer that clears codes. Since your losing power there is something wrong. If you have a tuner installed. Check the harness for the connections.
Heres what the codes mean.

P2121 Pedal Position Sensor 1 Performance / Rationality
P2122 Pedal Position Sensor 1 Low
P2149 Fuel Injector Group 2 Supply Voltage Circuit
P2146 Fuel Injector Group 1 Supply Voltage Circuit

Codes 2121, 2122 can be traced back to the fue l(gas) pedal. There is a cable that runs from the pedal into the engine compartment. Check the cable.

The other two codes might be a bad ECM or check the injector harness and wiring. This may be required to take to the dealer or a good diesel mechanic to verify.

 

so i went to the dealer and the injector codes were cleared and never returned,codes 2121 and 2122 returned and was told i need a new bell crank (throttle postion sensor)so i purchased it but they wouldnt tell methe exact location,prolly a scam just to get me to spend more.called three dodge dealerships and got 3 responses,1 under the hood 2 in the compartment,3 near the tank.i tried to look myself but just started gettin frustrated. lil more help por favor
