Default Hate those tiny mirrors, so I fixed that!

I hated the tiny little mirrors, they are just not big enough for towing anything. So a week or so ago I decided to get a set of towing mirrors. Just got them today from ebay (about $260 after shipping). I went with factory stock to keep the stock power and heated feature. Well it took about 20 min and I now have towing mirrors!
This was a simple upgrade and I would recommend it to anyone who has been strapping stuff to the stock small mirrors (I have lost a couple of those strapped on mirror extensions on my old truck).
Here she is (not cleaned in a while...):

Also, I would be happy to do a writup on how to, but I can't find anything about the rules on posting how-to's, should I just post it here in the forum?

Well, on the same topic, here in Elk Grove, I saw a 2nd generation truck with 3rd gen tow mirrors. Is it a simple swap? or did Dodge make the same type of mirrors for the 2nd gens?

I've seen a few 2nd gens with similar mirrors like the 3rd gen tow mirrors, looks awesome if you ask me. Jake are yours 2nd gen mirrors or 3rd gen's modded?

They look like the same mirrors Iv got on my 05.
When I turn them up for towing, I got to remember they stick out a little farther than normal.
Iv scrapped thehousing twice.
