alignment issue?

maybe they should run the steering shaft from the frame down to the axle right above the drive shaft, and make it telescopic too, from there it would go into some type of box mounted on the axle housingthat would have tie rods going out to both wheels, then there would be no bump steer or alignment issues, course it would be hard to route the steering colum crap back to the transfer case area to make it all happen..... wow that probably didn't make sinse at all.

No it made sense. If the tie rod has the same length and is centered on the axel both at the center of the vehicle and at the tire there won't be any bump steer as long as it is also the same distance from the axel at both the center and the tire, at least that's how we got rid of the bump steer on the baja we built.
