Default Funny Idle + hard starting.

Today I was driving my truck. So excited! Let off the fuel at a stop light. The idle on the truck for a minute or two bounced up and down about 150 - 200 rpms. Not very fast just kinda up and down up and down. Interesting. Just curious about it. Also Sometimes, not very often I'll go to start my truck, usually after it's been sitting for a while. It won't wanna start up right off .Has to be cranked for a bit. Longer than usual it seems like. Not longer than the second try of the key. Kinda like it's got a little air in the fuel line or something like that. Fuel pump going out possibly?

mine will idle up and down on occasion. . .usualy when I'm coasting ~10mph and out of gear.

the hard starting does sound like some air int he line. I just hope your CP3 hasnt been damaged.

Well how do I bleed the fuel lines, I thought cp3 had a self bleeding system. Also codes read the same haven't had a chance to clear em yet. It doesn't seem to be doing it hardly at all now. I believe last few times i've started it, approxmently 10 it hasn't done it. And when it was doing it it was on occasion like 1-8 trys, maybe more. It just kinda seemed like I was loosing prime. I'm going to rechange my fuel filter next paycheck. Along with the synthetic oil change.

CP3 is self bleeding. also if you have air in the fuel rail it will go to the popoff valve and keep the rail wet.

Mine has started differently since the day I got it. Some times it is 2 revolutions and running, some times it's 5 - 6. If it doesn't hit in 5 - 6 I let off and pause for a second or two and try again. It will usually hit right away on the second try. On rare occasions it will take a third attemp. Mine will also fluctuate the idle when coasting to a stop. Sounds normal to me.
