I WAS AT A ROPEN THE OTHER NITE.. AND A OLDER FARMER WAS TELLING SOME GUYS ABOUT USING TRANNY FLUID IN HIS TANK..... NOT ONLY N HIS DODGE TBD BUTN HIS TRACTORS ASWELL. EVEN HIS LAWN MOWER........ NOW I KNOW YOU GUYS USE A LOT OF STUFF. BUT HAVE YOU ALL EVER USED TRANNY FUID...........WOULDNT IT DRY THE O RINGS IN THE INJECTORS OUT OR GELL UP..... JUST WONDERING

Anyway, I remember hearing about some old timers useing it in tractors and such for lubrication, but I don't think it's goo to use in these newer diesel engines. Something about the detergent and the injectors ... something like that.

Mayfair needs to come to Oklahoma,we will take you to a goat ropin. As far as the tranny fluid I seen people do it to clean their injectors, but I don't think I would. There is a thread about it but I can't find it.
I think the owners manual specifically states not to use tranny fluid in our trucks.

the tranny fluid will dammage the CP3 and injectors of the 3rd gens. . .2nd gens it would do a definate number on the VP44 over time from the detergents. the only things I would use would be Power Service, Lucas, Howes, 2 stroke, MMO, and a few others, but not ATF
