wow..... Wonder if you put that in your truck what the mpg would be! Me... 2... Tires. gone.... Transmission. Back there some where..... Engine. Right besides me because I was going to fast and missed the corner. Long story short.

Those marine diesels are über expensive. I do a lot of boating on Chesapeake Bay, and a guy I know has a 38' Tiara (model 3800 Open) with twin Cummins QSC8.3s, which I think are 490 hp. It's fast for a 20,000-lb boat, but I thinkit cost over $400K.

How much different are the rods etc on this motor?

it's amazing what can be done with a different cam grind, injectors, turbo and higher compression. . .OH BTW, the pistons are probably ceramic and tefloncoated.

the main reason you can get that much power is you have the availability to unlimited cool water. . .no air to water radiator to worry about.
