Default Boost and pyro questions

When I was driving on the freeway today 65/75 the boost was only showing 1 to 7 or 8 and the egt's were all over the place. Aren't they supposed to stay fairly steady unless accelerating?

Check your hose from the turbo to the inter cooler and from the inter cooler to the intake. I had a similar problem on my 98 TCD ended up being a bad hose clamp off of the turbo

Egt's were from 580 to 940-50 wouldn't stay the same for very long even with cruise on, level road. I wouldn't think any hoses would be loose in 16K miles.

I had 2 loosehoses on my new 2006 one was a little hose behind the turbo I think it went to the heater core. The other was on the reservoir for the radiator. It wouldn't hurt to check the turbo boots
