Default 04 Dodge 2500 CTD

Alright guys, just bought my first diesel, an 04 QC 2500, (not the 04.5). So since it's my first diesel, i'm real new to all the diesel tricks, and mods... Just like this evening bringing the truck home, another dodge pulls up beside me and leaves me in a cloud of black smoke, how? Are programmers//chips this only way to achieve this, and if so, which to get? I definitely don't want to seriously mess up my engine, just for the fun of blowing clouds of black smoke, although it does seem very fun.

I know this topic has been asked about a million times, And i searched through the archives etc. Never found this topic for an 04 dodge, thought i'd ask and hopefully it doesn't **** you off to answer this question again =]

Thanks guys.

P.S. I'll post pics

Welcome to the CTD Family. People see m partial to the edje juice w/attitude. I have a superchip that I am going to call support on Monday to see If I can get it up and running. Guages will be a must with a programmer so if you can get all in one, that is great.

Here are 2 pics, i just took of the truck. Only thing i've done is added toolboxes, and straight exhaust.

If anything probably just a Leveling kit on the front, I've had my share of lifted trucks, and to me its more trouble than its worth... Just my 2 cents tho.

Mines leveled I'm going to put some bigger tires on it and then possibly if that doesn't tickle my fancy i'll probably bump it to like a 3' No more since i still have to buck hay on it and it'll be a pain at that but I think a pain worth fighting. But any more i gotta start worrying about rear ends and everything like that. Plus I'm going to put airbags in the back so i can adjust the rear level if i lift it. which I probably will.
