Let the dog be around the baby and sniff / lick on him. That will get the dog used to him and there will be no issues. Both my kids when brought home from the hospital were immediately put on the floor for the dogs inspection and approval. It worked out well, the dog took right to them and even watched over them.

So farPiper(the dog)is doing well with him. . .he'll lick and sniff. he's also been rather clingy to who ever has Dillon. it is kinda cute. we have been trying to keep Piper from realy getting on Dillon since he's been a bit fussy today. . .being forced to change the formula he is on. . .hospital only had simulac(since it is WIC apporved[:@]) and we have a stockpile of enfamil. so his stomach has been a bit upset today, but thing are getting better.

I bet you are really glad that he approved and didnt decide that he didnt like them. When my son was born we had a great dane thats head what bigger that my son stretched out. He could put his head into his crip and lick him, lol. I am glad that my dog approved of him too.
