Default Front rear leak

I also posted this in the 2nd Gen board... I have developed a small gear oil leak that drips off the drivers side lower ball joint. It is intermittant (more when it's hot out). My guy who normally helps me thinks it's a internal gear oil seal near the pumpkin that is unique to Dodge and Jeep. He doesn't have the tool needed to change this out and says it's normally a dealer item/job. He thinks the dealer charges about 5-6 hours of labor. Anyone have any experience with this and how much can I expect to get hammered for? 1999 Cummins 4wd 2500 Dana differentials...........Thanks......

Yes it looks to be a difficult job. Not one that I would look forward to tackling myself. See if this link helps you out.
