Default Aero 4040

Alright so I have a problem. I ordered an Aero 4040, received it and called a local shop that does trucks, cars, big rigs, etc. I took it to them and they said they couldnt do it because they dont have the capabilities to bend 4" pipe. The closest place that bends pipe is 100 miles away. So I was wondering if I got a muffler elimination kit from Geno's, then cut the aero muffler into that if it would work. Would it be better to just put the eliminator in and move the Aero up?

The pipe you can get from any number of sources would be fine to get the proper offset for your muffler. If you don't want all that noise you can get the MBRP muffler replacement kit in my sig. It comes with a sraight through muffler and the offset pipe and all the hangers already on it to fit the factory hangers, and it was only about $170, and it can be done by you instead of paying to have it done.

You shouldn't have to bend any pipe. The offset angle isn't great at all, if they flare the ends of the 4" it should go right into place.Mine went in with no problem. FYI, no one that I've heard of has the ablility to bend the 4",,, if they really had to angle it, they could just cut angles and reweld it, but it really shouldn't be a problem. If they can't do it, you may wanna just try another shop.

I left my cat in place, and it sounds just a little louder than stock at idle and cruising, but when you nail it it has that Cummins sound and plenty of it.
