Major problem. Don't know what to do
thats good practice to do. i think im gonna keep up with that kinda stuff considering this is my first ever diesel. i told my girl if she ever drives it please dont put gas in it lol.
Guys, if you save you r receipts photo copy them ASAP. Most of them are on thermal paper and will disappear after a short time, especially in a vehicle as it gets hot in there. FYI.....
Here's an update on the story.
I just got done speaking with the state inspector for FL, He gave me the results of the fuel he tested from the gas station. He said the flash point was 144 . the minimum they require is 125. He also said the sulfur content was 4.8 where the maximum is no more than 15. So according to the state, the pump's diesel is good.
Now in the meantime I've had to fight with the dealer to get my deisel tested. Keep in mind this was last weds when I heard the news and requested them to get the fuel tested the following day. I went in yesterday (Mon) to see what the status of that fuel analisys was. and the advisor gave me some story about waiting for a call back on the price etc. So i asked if he could call again while i was there. Reluctantly he did. From the phone conversation I could tell he hadn't even called, But at least I was getting the ball rolling. The lab is sending a test kit overnight. It should be there today. I told himNOT to get the sample until tomorrow morning because I wanted to be there when they drew the sample and sealed it up. I'm also going to take another sample for myself and have it analyzed, Just tomake sure the results are the same when they get theiranalisys back.I havn't told the dealer yet about the results from the pump, because I really feel they have miss diagnosed my truck's problem. ALSO they've missinformed Dodge Corp. as to what's in my fuel. So I think There's a good case being built against the dealer at this point.
No I havn't authorized any work to be done. I have another car i can drive, so I'm not in that big of a rush. I want to get to the bottom of this and hold whoever was wrong accountable.
The engine codes are
P03306- 6 cylinder missfire
P2269- in fuel condition.

Yea me too. I'll have MY sample results of the fuel analyzed by friday.
The dealer won't have their results until a week from now. Possibly longer because of the shipping involved. This whole situation is really frustrating. I should have taken my truck to the cummins repair facility nearby. But I didn't know about them until now. Not to mention The dealer may be at fault here, and i'm the type of person that won't give up without a fight, becauseI Hatehaving my intelligence messed with.
